Model in action:

Let’s start with the looks:

I tried to reproduce the shapes the best I could with given parts from 42177, and to include as many details as possible. Unimog fans for sure will point out that front mudguards are odd looking. Yes, but there’s a reason:

The challenge was to have mudguards that should allow to turn even with suspension fully pushed down. As you can see above, it’s possible.

Both cab doors come with working locks:

Inside the cab we can find two seats, working steering wheel and gear stick – works as an indicator for position of HI/LO gear selector placed in the middle of the frame.

The most iconic feature of Unimogs are portal axles – greatly increasing the ground clearance.

It took most of the t12/t20 gears, so there were no gears left for some more advanced gearboxes inside the drivetrain.

But there’s central differential. HI/LO gear selector is placed under the exhaust’s Ad Blue box (really, that grey thing with Merc logo)

Here you can see the lever locking the rear differential:

Tipper bed is elevated by simple lever:

Two yellow pistons work perfectly as locking pins here 🙂

Snow plow blade can be detached, when I first saw that black A suspension arm I thought that it could be perfect for raising the plow. So here it is 🙂

It’s also raised by self-locking lever:
